Block shares rose 15.8% on Wednesday, 4 November 2026, after the company's third-quarter results, released after Tuesday's close, beat analysts' consensus and the company raised its full-year guidance alongside a preliminary 2027 outlook.

A beat on both lines

Revenue for the quarter came to $6.7 billion, up 9.9% year over year and 2.1% above the $6.6 billion analysts had modelled. GAAP diluted earnings per share rose 24.3% to 0.92.

Gross profit rose 21.6% year over year to $3.2 billion. Net income reached $565.6 million.

A guidance raise on top of the beat

The size of the move

The reaction was large by Block's own trading history: 5.5x a typical daily move over the past year, which has averaged 2.9%, the biggest gain in this direction since 27 February 2026, on volume 3.5x the 30-day average. It also outpaced the wider market, where the S&P 500 (SPY) rose 1.8% the same session, and the median move of 4.6% among other covered transaction- and payment-processing companies, consistent with a reaction to Block's own results rather than a sector-wide swing.

Neither of the two 8-Ks filed in the window addresses that settlement, and no figure for it appears in the results release; the trading session does not establish what weight, if any, the market gave it against the earnings beat.

What the growth assumption behind our model shows

These are model values under stated assumptions, not a comparison with the share price. For the fuller financial history, see Block's full company analysis.

What would confirm the growth case

A result short of that guidance, or Cash App actives slipping back below the 60 million reported for September, would undercut the growth case the market priced in on Wednesday.
