DuPont makes advanced materials and components for healthcare, water, construction and industrial markets. Its products include Tyvek medical packaging and protective garments, specialty components for medical devices, water filtration products such as Amberlite resins and Filmtec reverse osmosis elements, Styrofoam insulation, Corian solid surfaces, Vespel shapes, Molykote lubricants and Cyrel printing plates.
Customers include biopharma and medical device manufacturers, industrial and municipal water operators, construction firms, and makers of vehicles, aircraft and packaging. Revenue comes from selling manufactured products and components, supported by proprietary process technology, patents and licensing of trade secrets, rather than subscriptions or advertising.
Following a 2025 reorganisation after separating its electronics business into Qnity, DuPont now reports two segments: Healthcare & Water Technologies and Diversified Industrials, alongside a Corporate function. The company has subsidiaries in roughly 50 countries and manufacturing in about 20, employs approximately 15,000 people worldwide, and holds around 6,100 patents and patent applications. It traces its current form to the 2019 spin-offs of Dow and Corteva from the former DowDuPont, followed by further divestitures of its nutrition, materials and mobility businesses.
