C Fundamentals grade

Five9 supplies a cloud-based customer experience (CX) platform used to run enterprise contact centres. Its Intelligent CX Platform, built around the Five9 Genius AI suite, lets organisations manage customer service, sales and marketing interactions across voice, chat, email, web, social media and mobile, either directly or through application programming interfaces (APIs). The platform routes each interaction to a suitable agent and draws in data from adjacent systems such as CRM software. Components include agentic AI agents, Agent Assist, Workflow Automation, AI Insights, AI Summaries, Workforce Engagement Management and Revenue Execution.

The company runs a software-as-a-service model. It charges subscription fees, based mainly on the number of licences, for access to the platform, alongside usage-based telephony charges; its AI tools are sold on a consumption or capacity basis. A field sales team targets mid-size, enterprise and Fortune 1000 firms, while a telesales team handles smaller companies. Technology partners, solution providers, system integrators, distributors and resellers extend its routes to market.

Five9 reports as a single segment and sells in both domestic and international markets. It has more than 3,000 customers.
