C+ Fundamentals grade

Pegasystems is a software company whose platform lets client organisations build and run their own applications. Its main cloud offering, Pega Cloud, provides managed, internet-based environments in which customers create and deploy Pega-based software.

The company earns money chiefly from software licences and Pega Cloud subscriptions, supported by a consulting arm that implements new licence and cloud agreements; it increasingly relies on partners and the clients themselves to carry out these projects. Customers span commercial industries and the public sector, including domestic and foreign government agencies.

Pegasystems is incorporated under Massachusetts law and conducts a substantial part of its business outside the United States, with international sales billed in currencies such as the euro, Australian dollar and British pound, and its cloud service hosted on third-party providers' infrastructure. As of December 2025 its chief executive beneficially owned about 45 percent of the common stock, giving concentrated influence over matters put to shareholders.

Based on Pegasystems Inc's 10-K filed February 10, 2026.

Lower and higher growth cases span ~$27–~$46 ; that spread sets a 25% margin before we rate Buy or Sell.

Prices can fall as well as rise.

Our value per share comes from a discounted-cash-flow model of Pegasystems Inc's free cash flow after stock-based pay ( $269M, FY2026 Q3 TTM, with after-tax interest added back): growth for five years as below (the first two years from forecasts, guidance and the company's record), fading to 2.5%, discounted at 8.5%, then cash added and debt and other claims subtracted. These are model values under stated assumptions, not price targets or recommendations.
