C+ Fundamentals grade

Snowflake provides a cloud platform it calls the AI Data Cloud, which lets organisations consolidate data into a single store, query it, apply artificial intelligence, and build and share data applications. It handles structured, semi-structured and unstructured data. Named features include Snowpark, a developer framework supporting languages such as Python and Java; Snowflake Postgres; Snowflake Intelligence, for building data agents; and the Snowflake Marketplace, where data sets and applications are shared and sold.

Customers are organisations of all sizes across industries, with offerings tailored to sectors such as financial services, healthcare, retail and the public sector. Snowflake uses a consumption-based model, so customers pay for what they process, store and share rather than a fixed licence. As of 31 January 2026 it had 13,328 customers, including 790 of the Forbes Global 2000.

The platform's product categories cover data engineering, analytics, transactions, AI, applications and collaboration. It runs on three public clouds — Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform — across 53 regional deployments worldwide. Sales run mainly through direct teams based in North America, with teams for Europe and Asia-Pacific, alongside resellers, distributors and self-service trials.
