Taboola.com is a technology company, operating since 2007, that places advertising on publisher websites, mobile apps and connected devices, which it collectively calls digital properties. It positions itself outside the "walled gardens" of Google, Meta and Amazon, specialising in performance advertising that goes beyond search and social media. Its main platform, Realize, launched in 2025, lets advertisers run campaigns across these properties; other offerings include the Connexity e-commerce service, Taboola News and the Smart Bid pricing tool.
The business is business-to-business. Advertisers pay when users click on, buy from or, in some cases, view their ads, and Taboola shares that revenue with the publisher on whose site the ad appeared. Pricing follows cost-per-click, cost-per-thousand-impressions and cost-per-action models.
Taboola works with roughly 14,000 digital property partners, including Yahoo, Apple and NBCNews, and about 2,200 larger advertisers. It says it reaches over 600 million people daily. Sales hubs sit in Bangkok, London, Los Angeles, New York and São Paulo; Yahoo and Microsoft are its largest partners.
